Silvia Torresan
Silvia Torresan is a scientist in climate risk, impact, and vulnerability assessment and codirector of the Risk Assessment and Adaptation Strategies (RAAS) division.
She has a PhD in Science and Management of Climate Change at Ca’ Foscari University Venice, and has >10 years of experience in methodologies for the assessment of environmental impacts, risks and vulnerability related to climate change and natural hazards, including the analysis of multi-hazard risks in coastal areas.
She has been WP or Task leader within several national and international programs (e.g. DG ECHO SAVEMEDCOAST1 and 2, Interreg TRITON, H2020 MYRIAD-EU, GD REST-COAST). She is an expert of the EEA’s European Topic Centre on Climate Change Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation for topics related to climate hazard indicators and ecosystem-based approaches for climate adaptation and DRR (ETC-CCA 2019-2021). She is author/co-author of >30 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals.
