Cacciamani Carlo, Physicist, is director of the IdroMeteoClima Service of the Regional Agency for prevention and environment of Emilia-Romagna (Arpae-Simc), and previously he was coordinator of the Central Functional Center at the Department of National Civil Protection for three years.

He has thirty years of experience in the field of meteorology and climate and on early warning systems for the reduction of the meteo-hydro-geological risk. He is the author of about a hundred scientific articles in the sector mentioned above and has been adjunct professor in meteorology for some years at the University of Bologna. He is engaged in dissemination on issues related to climate change. In December 2019 he published a book, “La giostra del tempo senza tempo” (in Italian) “, a novel, accompanied by 20 technical sheets on the theme of the climate emergency.
